 Group Profile:
Mariachi Everett de Lansing was formed in Apr. 2002 as a result of a
group of five interested Spanish students who eventually competed in
Central Michigan University's Foreign Language Day and their desire in
creating a mariachi program for the Lansing Area. This year's group will
consist of no fewer than 20 students of various ethnic backgrounds. Our
primary goal is to ensure that the students of Everett High School and
the Lansing School District have the opportunity to learn and carry on
the rich traditions and culture of Mariachi and its music.
